As of today, 10/4, the list has grown to 228 plants! Jim Erdman has been leading this project, collating and verifying input from Judy, Linda B., Nancy, and Paul. See Jim’s Word Doc: gvm-plants-2008-10-04 for the complete list. Every week there are new sightings, so we’ll keep you “posted”!

9/23/08 The weed demo project at the old slash dump site on Haystack Dr is officially underway. To see the herbicide application strategy emailed by Steve and a map image and photo, press “Continue Reading” below.
After Steve alerted us to the herbicide spraying that Tim D’Amato (Larimer County), and Dr. Phil Westra (CSU) conducted on 9/23, I heading over the next day to take pictures and gps readings. Thanks to Wynne for alerting us to this persistant Canada thistle infestation and to Linda Bell for starting the ball rolling with this North Fork Weed Coop demonstration project.
ONE weed letter….with teeth!
To streamline GVM’s noxious weed violation notification process, the committee decided on 9/10 to combine two warning letters into one. This passes the enforcement burden from GVM to Larimer County in one step!! Please comment on Steve’s latest version: revised-weed-letter, which integrates previous drafts by Judd and Susan.
Neon green vests are here
I picked up 20 more Land Steward vests from Helen Petrak on 9/19. So far, 5 have been distributed to: Ginny and Jerry Blanz, Gladys Bowden, Dave Doft, and Rich Ritterbusch. Who else would we like to thank for their volunteer efforts??
