Weed Management Field Day

Presented by Ted Sammond, Glacier View Meadows Ecology Team Weed Coordinator.

Help Rid Our Neighborhood of Noxious and Invasive Weeds
Glacier View Meadows residents are invited to meet with Ted at the Glacier View Meadows Pavilion (at the Mountain Meetin’ Place) for a Saturday Weed Workshop (10:00 am – 12:00 noon). He will describe how to identify weeds that are invasive and harmful to our neighborhood environment. Weed management techniques will be discussed for successful elimination, including manual removal as well as safe application of the approved herbicide Milestone as recommended by the Larimer County Weed District.
Ted will demonstrate safe use of the sprayers used for herbicide application which can be checked out through the Glacier View Meadows Ecology Team to Glacier View Meadows residents.

Learn · Preserve · Enjoy

The Glacier View Meadows Ecology Team offers a way for each of us to keep our beautiful world healthy, balanced, and resilient.

We inherit a corner Larimer County that is rich in forest and mountain, teeming in wildlife, splendid in year-around displays of grasses and flowers.

We’re committed to enjoying it and conserving it.

We Communicate.

The land we live in continues to teach us what we need to know to live in harmony. Our job is to remain open to its lessons, and to pass along what we learn to each new generation of neighbors.

We distribute information in as many ways as we can imagine. Here’s what to look for from us:

Join us.

Whether you’re new to our mountain neighborhood or have lived here years, whether you live with us year around or enjoy seasonal visits, you’re welcome to be a part of our team.

April through September, we meet once each month for planning, conversations, and educational programs.

Monthly in the growing season–April through October– we’re sponsoring a Mountain Living Lecture Series. Like clockwork, we’re in the Mary Keller Community Room, lower level of the Glacier View Meadows Offices, the second Tuesdays of each month, at 6:30 to 7:30 pm.

And of course we have ongoing projects–come join a work team, for a morning or a season.
